Affordable Chemical Resistant Industrial Strength Black Nitrile Gloves
What are they? Our First Ever Automotive/Industrial Mechanics Glove, The Legendary Boa Pro is still our most widely sold automotive glove and here’s why.
The ‘Boa Pro’ was built with equilibrium in mind. Following years of feedback, we tried to balance the science of a light dexterous sub 5-gram glove with the performance of much heavier gloves in its class without the use of synthetic fillers. By working closely with our production team we developed a glove that maintained a 5mil finger thickness, 4mil palm thickness and 3mil cuff thickness all while keeping the glove at 4.8 grams. It was achieved by using a much higher quality raw material evenly distributed across the glove instead of bulking or filling agents used at lower-quality facilities.
Engineers, Mechanics, Detailers and Industrial workers all wanted a glove with quality as good as the heavy gloves they were used to buying but without the constant hand fatigue, which they experienced after a couple of hours of use. They wanted it lightweight and dexterous enough that jobs didn’t become cumbersome and so that hands weren’t sweating so badly inside their gloves that it made it impossible to get another set on. So we built an affordable mid-range priced product that could keep the feel of lighter gloves while offering the protection of much heavier ones.
What are they made from? Making the glove black and silicon free has made the Boa Pro a favourite among paint, bodywork and automotive specialists. The deep black colouration allows the user to see any potential liquids, contaminants, or chemicals before they damage the user or finish on their work. The smooth palm allows users to feel the material, parts or liquids they work with while the finger texture allows them to grip and hold when needed.
The Boa Logo and image mean the user knows it’s part of our automotive range with assured purpose-built quality standards & Smart Tough Technology means the user can check their phone during a job without needing to remove and waste a pair of gloves.
We’re proud to say after years of evaluating the feedback we made the glove that everyone was asking for. The ideal ‘Tough Glove’; is affordable enough to be thrown away after use, tough enough to get most jobs done, and well-formed enough to make your hands not hate wearing them.
What are the features?
Tough Glove Tip (when comparing gloves & suppliers):
- Compare the thickness in all areas below (with your current supplier) to understand the level of protection provided.
- Then compare the weights of gloves to understand how evenly protection is applied.
- For example, if another glove had better thickness in all areas but was lighter in total then the glove has been made to give the appearance of increased protection but will be weak in formulation (linking of these areas) and susceptible to breaking under application or gentle force.
- If your current product performs better, we recommend looking for a heavier more durable glove in the rest of our range that meets your performance expectations.
- Can’t find a suitable alternative or need help selecting the right glove, email or give us a call using the contact us section of the site to speak with a friendly glove guide.

Frequently Asked Questions
The frequency of detailing can depend on the car’s use and storage conditions. Generally, a full detail is recommended every 4-6 months. Regular maintenance washes and a top up of protection can be done more frequently, ideally every 2-4 weeks, to keep the car in pristine condition. The use of Rapid Detailer or Express Sealant make maintaining the finish super easy.

Polishing involves using an abrasive compound to remove surface imperfections like swirl marks, scratches, and oxidation, restoring the paint’s smoothness and shine. Protection provides a protective layer over the paint, enhancing the shine and protecting the surface from environmental contaminants like UV rays, rain, and dirt. Products like Rapid Detailer, Express and our other last stage protection products (LSP) like Supergloss+ wax and QDX Ceramic are all good examples.
To prevent water spots, dry the car immediately with a clean microfiber drying towel, and avoid washing the car in direct sunlight. Using a quick detailer spray like Rapid Detailer as you dry can also help. The main thing is not to allow any water to dry on the surface.
Clean the tyres thoroughly with Incinerate Wheel cleaner and brush, our dedicated tyre cleaning brush works well. After cleaning, apply a tyre dressing or gel to give them a new look. Choose a non-sling formula to avoid residue flinging onto the car’s paint
