What is it? QDX Graphene is a powerful yet forgiving quick detailer that has been enhanced with specialist graphene nano-platelet technology to provide some unique advantages over traditional detail sprays. This new version 2, takes half a decade of experience with this technology and rewrites the possibilities of what can be achieved with graphene.
What's it made from? Starting with a Si02 polymer base, this detail spray uses some elements that are commonly found in durable sealants. These powerful polymers are then blended using an all new polar protic solvent blend that allows up to 10x more graphene to be added to the formula without losing stability.
What are the features? Gloss, its hard to overstate how good this product is in this department. An instant and dark gloss effect is immediately obvious after application. Slickness, a hallmark of graphene is its effect on the slickness and slip of paintwork, this is in part down to the incredibly tight covalent bond created by this technology. Water beading, an interesting feature of this new version of QDX is its sacrificial layer system, similar to our ceramic coatings, this system is comprised of a weak polymer that gives short term protection and forms a "top layer" over the stronger protective product underneath. This allows the true performance of QDX Graphene to break out on its first wash, maximises the performance and the durability. Resistance to water spotting, another unique feature of graphene enhancement is the ability to resist water spot etching on your panels. If you live in a hard water area, this will be a real useful feature!
How does it fit into the wash process? QDX Graphene is a great last stage protection product that ticks some boxes others simply can't. It's ideally applied to decontaminated paint where it can see up to 6 months of durability or as a topper for synthetic sealants and hybrid waxes like Graphene wax or Diablo PTFE wax.
Is it easy to apply? Yes, QDX is the ideal product to protect your car quickly, even in low winter temperatures. Upon application it feels like it simply melts into the paintwork, creating a rich deep gloss, even at temperatures as low as 2 degrees celsius. A gentle removal with a microfibre towel will reveal unimaginable gloss and slickness, making this a real powerhouse in terms of all round versatility.
