Frequently Asked Questions
The frequency of detailing depends on how your vehicle is used and stored. As a general rule, a full detail is recommended every 4–6 months. Regular maintenance washes and protection top-ups should be carried out more frequently — ideally every 2–4 weeks — to keep the finish in optimal condition.
Using products such as Rapid Detailer or Express Sealant makes maintaining gloss and protection quick and effortless between major details.

Polishing is a corrective process. It removes defects such as swirl marks, light scratches, oxidation, and dullness from the paintwork by levelling the clear coat. The result is a smoother, glossier surface.
Protection, on the other hand, preserves that finish. Waxes, sealants, and coatings create a barrier between your paint and environmental contaminants such as UV rays, road grime, bird droppings, and water spotting.
In short:
- Polishing = Correction
- Protection = Preservation
For best results, polish first (if needed), then apply a protective layer.
Water spots are caused by mineral deposits left behind when water evaporates. To prevent them:
- Dry the vehicle immediately after rinsing using a high-quality microfibre drying towel.
- Avoid washing in direct sunlight where water evaporates quickly.
- Use filtered or deionised water if available.
- Apply a protective product such as a sealant or wax — these promote water beading and reduce mineral bonding.
A quick mist of Rapid Detailer during drying can also help eliminate streaks and enhance gloss.
To restore tyres to a deep, factory-fresh appearance:
- Thoroughly clean them with a dedicated tyre cleaner to remove old dressing and road grime.
- Agitate with a stiff brush to fully cleanse the rubber.
- Rinse and allow to dry completely.
- Apply a high-quality tyre dressing evenly with an applicator pad.
For a natural satin finish, apply a thin layer. For a high-gloss look, apply additional coats once the first layer has cured.
Proper cleaning before dressing is key — applying dressing to dirty tyres will reduce durability and cause sling.
